If you could realize that every day that passes, every 24 hours you are alive takes you 1 day closer to your demise, would it change your perspective on life?
It changed mine! I watched an old clip of George Carlin tonight in an interview with Charlie Rose and it made me feel that the way I think isn't as far out as I thought. He was talking about how he had finally given up on man as a species and how he had simply said "fuck it, I don't care any more. what will be will be" And how he figured since man wasn't going to change his ways, he would, and sit back and watch the fun. That's basically where we are as a species. I think I'm going to sit back and watch the show. If I'm fortunate and take care of myself, I may just hang around another 15 or 20 years to see what happens. You see, basically I am a realist. I see things for the way they are, not how I wish they were. I sometimes see the future by reasoning out what is going on around me and , using logic, visualize what may happen down the road. It's really quite easy if you have an inquisitive mind. Everything tells you something , if you observe and listen. Most people won't. I see a crumbling country, a crumbling world, a dog-eat-dog world where everyone is for themselves. You've seen the movies. Mad Max, Waterworld, The Day After Tomorrow and many others. In this inter-dependent economy, all it will take is one stupid move and the dominoes will fall. Don't be the one to push that first domino! Peace be with you as long as you are with us! dennismoconnor.com Comments are closed.
