I wish to thank all of you who continue to read my posts on this site. I know I have not been very active lately, but not having the election in front of me or being in the midst of battle sometimes takes the wind out of my sails.
Not that I don't have more to say, but sometimes I have to pick my targets. I am trying to be critical but constructive at the same time and that's not easy. There are many things wrong with the political climate, but this last election gives me hope that we can get this country back where it belongs, caring for one another instead of hating each other. We are headed for a generation where seniors are going to expand exponentially and we are not ready for it. Not enough healthcare personnel, trying to reduce the safety net at the expense of the needy, infrastructure is falling apart, the planet is reaching a "boiling point", and we are doing nothing about any of it. We must feed the bulls first. To that I say bullshit! We must start and I mean now! But I fear it is already too late. We will start having critical shortages of food due to climate change, the killing of bees, too much water in many places, too little in others, warming of the oceans, the death of sea life, being overwhelmed by trash, the poisoning of our soils which can't be remedied. You name it, it is coming down the road, and it's coming faster every day. Just look at the food recalls lately. Beef, thousands of pounds, lettuce, cauliflower, you name it. Poisoned by E Coli or Salmonella because we have abandoned our checks and balances in food inspection. Just look around you. If you don't see it, you are blind! Enjoy your loved ones this week of holidays and try to do SOMETHING to change someone else's life who has less than you. May peace be among you. dennismoconnor.com Comments are closed.
