Anyone who really knows me understands that I am a very deep thinker, but I do my research.
The past several years have been probably the most stressful due to the fact that I follow my gut instincts formed by the information that I pull in. I don't have a very good outlook for the future of mankind. We have changed our planet so much in the past 100 years that it is not recognizable anymore to a person like me. Climate change, dying oceans and coral reefs, polluted waters and land and air. Deny it all you wish, but the reality is, it's here, and probably irreversible. When I was growing up, we didn't have TV until I was a teenager. 3 channels! And then they signed off at midnight! Party lines on the phone, if you had one. I was fortunate enough to have been born into the time and place that I was! Someone said to me tonight "it's the instant technology that is ruining lives. It's both parents having to work to support their chosen (or sometimes not chosen ) lifestyles". I am often amazed at the ability of many young people to adapt to the right path. I look at the young adults at Parkland as an example. They chose to follow their instincts and fight for their lives. And they did it in a calm and straightforward way. Hopefully they started something big. Time will tell. You must understand that your life can change in an instant. Are you doing your share to bring sanity back into the brains of mankind? Are you helping someone in need of a hand? I don't necessarily mean monetarily. I mean personal commitment. If you are, I applaud you. If not, try it, it feels good! As my grandfather and many other grandfathers before him said, boy, use that head of yours for more than a hat rack! Peace to all and may you pass it on! dennismoconnor.com Comments are closed.
