I find it to be really irritating when teenagers have to walk out of their schools because they need to bring attention to a very bad situation beyond their control, when they are dying for no good reason, and they are criticized by adults for their actions. Not just adults, but nasty, vicious adults, who do not seem to have the ability to see or place themselves in these children's situation. This should be a teaching moment, and it is. These kids are learning the basics of life in this society, with all of it's flaws, and unfortunately all of its biases and bigotry. Stand tall, young people, don't let them tell you otherwise. And don't let them intimidate you!
I never understood until the past couple of years how many mean and hateful people make up the fabric of this country, because they sort of kept it to themselves, until 45 came along and unshackled them from their restraints. Now it's all hands on deck. Hate everyone different than you! You're black, I hate you! You're queer, I hate you! You're an atheist and don't believe, I hate you Anyone else, I hate you! When does it stop? When they open the doors to the death camps? When the ovens are fired up again? When you have swastika's adorning everything? We are moving towards a fascist government, and the Republican Party is leading the charge. The good thing is, people have awakened and are doing something about it. Follow the children. They haven't been poisoned by life yet! Comments are closed.
