I would like to start a movement against plastic pollution of our planet. I propose that people in each state advocate for the legalization of hemp for plastics, instead of petrochemical plastics, by gathering all the plastic waste that we generate for a month and then sit peacefully in front of your Statehouse with it along with signs touting the fact that hemp is bio-degradable. The Pacific Ocean Garbage Patch is now twice as big as the State of Texas and growing. 600,000 square miles!
Think to yourself each time you use a plastic item, how can I do differently? China will no longer take our plastic trash for recycling, the dumps can no longer sell it for recycle, so it goes in the landfills. Thousands of tons per day! We are literally burying ourselves in garbage! Hemp is not only good for plastic, it's good for clothing, toilet paper, oil, fuel, food, medicine. What more could you ask? Plus the fact that it grows very quickly as compared to trees and 4 times the fiber per acre. Just think, KILLER WEED just may save our lives! Who will join me in this venture?
