It's time for me to get active again. Since I stepped into the political ring, I have learned a great deal about the way things operate around the world, but especially in this country. The !%ers have been sucking you dry!
Money is power, I repeat, MONEY IS POWER! If you have it , you know it and use it. If you don't, you are helpless.
Let's for example take our healthcare system and I mean from the perspective of a consumer.
My wife has had 2 hip replacements in the past 3 years. We are fortunate to have health insurance or we would be bankrupt. I received itemize bills from from the hospital that amounted to, for 2 surgeries, $454,000. The amount paid by the insurance company? About $14,000. Plus co-pays from us of about $2,000. This is highway robbery in no uncertain terms and I mean the $454,000.
Can you put yourself in the place of a person without health insurance, with bad hips or any other malady that can be treated and say they should live the rest of their lives in pain and misery because MONEY IS POWER? And the lack of it is
tough shit, you're on your own?
The system in this country has a cancer, and it is powerful, monied, greedy people, who care nothing about others.
The corporate hospitals, the corporate nursing home chains, the too powerful corporate pharmaceutical industry, the insurance industry.
All these entities stand to lose money and power over the citizens of this country, if a national health system is brought to the shores of America.
Legalize research on natural herbs like cannabis and other plants, stop the constant ads for drugs, (where there seems to be a drug-of-the-week lately), drugs that the side affects can be worse than the disease. Increases of 6.5% this year, on top of already too expensive drugs necessary for people to stay alive. Drugs that have been on the market sometimes decades. People are dying trying to conserve insulin, because it is so expensive. People are dying from addiction to opioids, because doctors prescribe too many and the drug companies only care about the bottom line.
We can't, nor should we, tolerate this murder of otherwise healthy people for money.
I advocate for medicare-for-all, so that all people who are here can live a long and fruitful life, without having to spend their life's work on one major setback.
I don't know where this will lead me, but I must find out.
Peace be with you all and may you stay healthy!
