It's 3 AM and I was thinking about the absurdity of our Cannabis laws. Cannabis, weed, flower, ganja, bud, herb, whatever the hell you want to call it, it's still just a weed with medicinal properties for many people and has been for centuries!
The one and only reason it's not legal is MONEY! Big Pharma doesn't want it legal, they would lose too much MONEY unless they can get their greedy little hands on it! The for profit prisons sure as hell don't want it, they would lose too much MONEY for locking up people trying to survive by selling a weed! Other industries like plastics manufacturers, cotton growers, paper mills, you name it. Now it's big business and I guarantee that right now, hedge fund managers are foaming at the mouth and attempting to corner the market for the sake of MONEY! Just legalize the shit out of it, allow anyone over the age of 21 to buy, sell, grow, give away, consume, have possession of and otherwise do what they can without worrying that a damn weed that up until the abolitionists got hold of it was legal! Anyone who thinks they're in their right mind that believes (just like alcohol) that just because the government says you can't have it means you can't get it, is not in their right mind. Stop feeding the syndicates, cartels, dealers, dirty cops, politicians, whoever is making a buck off this. And that means the government too! It's a frickin' weed, get over it!
