I know it's been a few days since I posted anything, but we had a slight medical emergency arise and I have not been online. My wife had a hip replacement 3 months ago and it dislocated Saturday. She's doing fine now, but it was quite scary.
I don't know how people exist in this world without access to good, qualified, and reasonably affordable medical care! We are fortunate that we have decent insurance, but millions do not have any and are either left to themselves to deal with it or do nothing at all. The emergency rooms are again going to be overworked and understaffed because our government cannot find the decency, let alone the money, to properly consider basic medical care a right, not a privilege, and removing millions from being able to afford healthcare benefits by passing a tax bill for the wealthy. If we had to pay out-of-pocket for just THIS emergency alone it would probably be over 3 to 4 thousand dollars for 3 1/2 hours in an emergency room and ambulance. As it is, with good insurance, it will cost us about $300. Don't tell me it can't be done! It is done in every other developed country in the world, why not us? I FORGOT! Politicians in the pocket of Big Pharma, hospital corporations for profit, insurance companies as the middle-man for profit. You name it, someone is making a profit off the backs of Americans and their health. We already have a well established single payer system in this country that has worked well for decades at a reasonable cost. IT"S CALLED MEDICARE! We could adopt this system for all and in a short period of time, but you have to get Congress out of the way first. They care about millionaires and billionaires first and foremost, and treat them accordingly, the little man be damned! Think about this when you vote in November, because it could very well be you that has to make those life or death decisions in the future, not just your neighbor! #Resist2018 dennismoconnor.com Comments are closed.
