I'm back! Sorry I have been quiet lately, but it has been one helluva past 2 weeks. I took a trip to Florida to visit my grandson and everything was OK until Wednesday of the 2nd week, when a runaway utility trailer totaled my car. I wrote the following the next day, August 22nd.
I don't know about you, but I have come to the conclusion that most of us don't realize the difference 1 second, or a fraction of a second, can make in your life. I was very keenly made aware of that today I wasn't more than a minute from my home when a trailer being pulled by a truck moving in the opposite direction suddenly started coming across a 5 lane road directly towards me. Being in the outside lane, I had nowhere to go except forward. In less than 1 second, I had to decide what to do. I hit the gas. Had I been 1 second further down the road, I would have not been hit. Had I been 1 second in the opposite direction, I probably would have died or been seriously injured. I guess my whole point is that too often we take life for granted. We assume our loved ones will always be OK. We don't pay attention to others. We don't agree with others, so we begin hating them. And in today's society, that is what we are becoming. We have psychopaths running the government, and no one will try to stop them. I fear for the world's future. I fear for my granddaughter and my great-grandson, as their future becomes darker by the day. I fear for the future of the planet itself. I am old enough that I probably will not see the end days, but they are upon us already. We must rid this country of the cancer that is not only killing our planet, but is not responding to treatment. And that cancer is the Republican party and all that infest the bowels of our government. And that especially includes Moscow Mitch and Lindsey Graham! Open your eyes, you can no longer get by in denial or ignorance! Tell your loved ones you care and love them each time you leave. You may not get a second chance. May peace be with you. dennismoconnor.com Comments are closed.
